This relates to the Manaugh's organisation of BLDGBLOG around the "pleasure principle." The blog follows his lines of interest, it's broad, mixes disciplins and styles (is complex and contradictory) which he argues enables people not normally interested in architecture to participate in the discussion. (I summarized this from the BLDGBLOG book, is that cheating? Chronicle Books. San Francisco, 2009).
